Autiv Detailing — Appointment Text Message Program
Autiv Detailing offers an optional SMS text message program to keep customers informed about their mobile car detailing appointments. Messages include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and service updates. This program is entirely voluntary — customers may book services without opting in to SMS.

Consent to receive SMS messages is collected during the online booking process at autivbooking.com. At the final review step before confirming a booking, customers are presented with a clearly labeled opt-in checkbox.

The checkbox is unchecked by default. The customer must actively check the box to opt in. Customers who do not check the box can still complete their booking — SMS consent is not required to book a service.

If a customer books by phone or in person, the following script is used to obtain verbal consent:
"We offer text message updates for your appointment — things like a booking confirmation and a reminder the morning of your service. Would you like to receive text messages about your appointment? Standard message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out."

When a customer opts in to SMS via the online booking form, their consent is recorded as a data field in our secure database (Google Cloud Firestore) along with their booking details.

Only customers with smsConsent: true in their booking record receive text messages. Our system checks this field before sending any SMS.

Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:
After opting out, the customer will receive one final confirmation message: "You have been unsubscribed from Autiv Detailing texts. You will not receive any more messages. Reply HELP for help."
Opting out of SMS does not cancel or affect any existing or future bookings.
Customers can text HELP at any time to receive the following response:
"Autiv Detailing appointment alerts. For help, visit autivbooking.com or email gavin@autivbooking.com. Reply STOP to cancel. Msg&data rates may apply."
